About

BEATRICEEASTER

I was born in France in the world of Art. My father was a Master in stained
glass windows. They were all around us, even in our kitchen.
As a child, I was waiting for the sun to shine. I had a fascination for the patches of
colours falling on the floor from our windows.
I think it is from these days that I got my passion for colours, light, sunshine and shadows.
My very first painting was an apple and an Autumn leaf. I was 8 years old, it was in gouache.
I have never forgotten this experience. I can still see the colours that I
wanted to lay on the paper. Nothing else mattered. This very day I wanted
to become an artist.
I have worked along side my father in his studio, the rest is history.

I married a British citizen and came to live in UK in 1970. I love this wonderful place and will stay here for the rest of my life.
